Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards (including FSA), as well as cash or check. If your company has wellness benefits those can also be applied towards therapy costs.
Insurance Reimbursement
I am a out-of-network provider who provides courtesy billing directly to your insurance company in order to seek reimbursement on your behalf. That way, you don’t have to worry about the hassle of submitting out of network claims.
What does out-of-network mean?
Out-of-network means that a I do not have a contract with your health insurance plan provider, which, depending on your insurance plan, can result in higher out of pocket costs.
How can I get coverage for out-of-network:
I strongly encourage you to discuss your health care benefits with your insurance company. Below you will find questions that could help clarify your coverage. My hope is that you will be able to utilize your plan’s out-of-network benefits to off-set the cost of continuing therapy from your pocket.
I recommend asking the following:
1. Does my plan have Out-of-Network Benefits?
2. If so, please explain the terms:
a. What is my out-of-pocket deductible before out-of-network benefits kick in?
b. What percentage of out-of-network expense is covered? For example, a 50-minute therapy session (CPT code 90837) is $170
Is the out-of-network reimbursement a percentage of that?
c. Are there different rates of reimbursement for different CPT codes? For example, a 45-minute therapy session (CPT 90834) vs. the
60-minute session or an initial evaluation (CPT 90791)?
